What is it about asexuals that makes people so angry? I wonder if he still feels this way? 

If being asexual were a disability, because he used blindness as an example, does that mean people who are blind shouldn’t have a community of people they can relate to and be accepted, instead of being told “there’s no such things as being blind, your vision is fine and you just don’t want to look at things!” 

This is a good point. 

The “argument” that stood out the most to me was that he said David Jay, at 19, was too young to know he was ace and therefore had no right to start a movement. This is exactly the same attitude used by bigots to excuse the bullying of LGBT children and teens! That they’re too young to be “really” gay, they’re just confused and need some tough love to toughen them up. Barf. 

Most of the anti-ace rhetoric I’ve read by LGBT-identified people ends up reinforcing heterosexism and homophobia in really blatant and baffling ways. 

Okay so I’m not even done this article and I’ve already got a headache looking at it. Dear god, this guy…

i don’t understand people like this?? it’s like the occasional trans person being mean to a nonbinary. it doesn’t make any sense at all and it just makes the person look like a butt
